Hi-

Here's the scenario:

In 2002 obtained a B2 (Tourist visa) - it was never used to enter the U.S.
In 2003 needed to go to the U.S. for the first time (business trip). Therefore applied and got a B1/B2 visa (Business/Tourism).
At the time the B1/B2 was obtained, a stamp saying "Cancelled without prejudice" was placed on the first B2 only visa.

Now, filling out DS-156, on question 35 it asks: "Has your U.S. visa ever been cancelled or revoked?"

What should be answered? YES or NO.
If the answer is YES, there's no additional space in the question to provide the explanation that it was "Cancelled without prejudice".

Thanks!

You got "cancelled w/o prejudice" on old B1/B2 because you got new one.
(I got that stamp on my L1B, when I obtained new H1B too).
So, that event should not fall into "cancelled or revoked" category.

Cancelled without Prejudice". Now filling out DS-156.

No problem.

You have a cause for concern only it is `cancelled with prejudice'.

This is how consulates of difference countries cancel the old visas.
European countries do it too.

This does not mean your visa is revoked.
