B1 To L1 -- Can B1 be accounted towards employment abroad??

Here's the situation:

A person joined Company A on 25th Feb 2005 in india, he/she came to US on B1 on 8th Feb 2006 and now he/she has to come back on L1, but L1 eligibility says "individual has to be employed out side US for at least 1 yrs for continuous time"

Question is "Can his/her time on B1 be accounted for his/her employment outside US???"

Your question is not clear. For L1 visa, a person need to have worked for that employer outside US for a minimum period of 1 year in last 3 years to become eligeble for L1 visa.

Question on B visa does not arise because B visa doesnot authorize work while in US.
