If your H1 approval notice come with I 94 at the botton of the notice you can continue to stay here other wise you have to go back to your home country and get your H1 stamped and enter US POE. Upon arrival you will be isssued I 94 with caveat "H1B" with that you can get your SSN to start working in US.
