OK , provided company have money to pay your salary and contract/works to execute. But, while stamping in your home country embassy will thoroughly check your company before stamping your pp.

Thanks

Great Guru
Thank's for ur reply;
but what if i dont stamp h1 on my pp and start working with the company ?

what are the chances of getting approved ?

My visa expires in september and i would be out of status if not approved What can i do to save my status till i get some other company?

Usually your H1 approval notice does not contain I 94 at bottom (If it is a change of status F1 to H1, H4 to H1 not B to H, if it happened come with it you can work without stamping. If not you have to get outof US to get visa stamped and get new I 94 (while entering) before starting working. Without a I 94 you will not get your Social Security number, without that no company put you in payroll.

options for B1 visa holder

Hi! I am a java & LAMP developer (2 yrs experience) with a 3-months tourist visa. What are the chances that I can convert that into a temporary working visa during my summer trip there this july? I am told that tourists cannot work for at least 3 months. Is that correct? So am I suppose to wait for 3 months then I can go look for companies that would sponsor temporary working visas? What are the options available for somebody like me? Should I convert to an F1 visa?

Sorry, I'm not very knowledgable in these areas and would greatly appreciate any advise. Thanks!

With your b/tourist visa you can not do anything but sight seeing only.
You can not convert you tourist visa to any other form at all.
if you want to work you need new h1 from your sponser/employer or to study you need I 20 from the school to get new F1.

I see. Is there a grace period for getting a H1 visa? For example, is a tourist required to wait for 3 months before getting sponsored for a H1B visa?

No not at all.

If you a have a sponser who offer a job and get your H1B petition appro
ved, you can go to US embassy to get your H1 Visa.
