B1 to H1...... Plzzzzzzzzz help

Hi, I am new here hoping that I'll get my answer here. I am 52 years old and have B1/B2 multiple entry US visa for next 9 years. My question are :

1) Can I get H1 visa in this age? (I have over 30 yrs of financial accounting experiance).

2) If my H1 visa gets rejected due to any reason, what will happen to my existing B1/B2 visa.
