B1 to H1 - change of status

I came to US on B1 on July 10, 2000. While in US I applied for H1 B with another employer and requested change of Status.

I got my H1 approved with change of status from B1 to H1 and the updated I-94 , dated Nov 15, 2000.

I joined the new employer on Dec 15, 2000.

During this transition I never went outside US.

My question is when does the 6-year H1 period begin. Nov 15 or Dec 15 or July 2000

Your h1 starts from Nov 15 because your I 94 also got updated.

If you are coming from out side US, then date at POE will be your H1 start date.Appreciate a response.
