Hi,

I had my B-1 to H-1 conversion two months ago and now I am thinking of getting visa stamping from Mexico. Are there any chances that I get the visa, because what I have heard that they refuse all those who have come on visitor\'s visa.

If refused, can I come back (I have lost my I-94).

What kind of questions do they ask.

Please help, thanks in advance

You may want to take the services of an Immigration lawyer
who takes you across the border and brings you back. I did
this with twice with my company lawyer (if interested, Wolsfdorf

who who were on B1.

If you fail to get H-1 visa, you\'ll need the I-94 to come back. So,
either
1. apply for a replacement of I-94 first.
pro: cheap, around $100 cons: takes 2 months.
2. hire a competent lawyer to go with you so you get this visa.
pro: better chances getting visa cons: > $1000 fee plus expenses
or 3. go by yourself without I-94
pro: if you are in-status, with paystubs, true employment, should be no problem getting visa.
con: if you are rejected, need the help from lawyer/employer far away.
