B1 entry

Hi,
I have a B1/B2 visa multiple entry.
I came to US on a B2 visa for personal reasons and stayed for 6 months. I'm back to India now, and will have to go again to US on B1 visa [for official reasons]. I would like to know, how long do I need to stay in India in order to return back on B1 visa.

To avoid having the POE officer suspecting that you're attempting to live in the US, the general rule of thumb is to spend as much time out of the US as you do in the US (ie, 6 months in, 6 months out).

A genuine visitor should never spend more than 6 months in the US during any rolling 12 month window.

I would like to know, how long do I need to stay in India in order to return back on B1 visa
