Hello,
I work for an importing and exporting company in Brasil and through this company I got a business visa so that I could come to the US and assist one of our partners who has recently entered this type of business. I'm suposed to help them getting structured and in good shape to do business on their own. My I-94 is good for 6 months and it expires in august. However, I would like to take some days of vacation and was planning to go to the Bahamas for 3 to 4 days or to Chile for 7 to 10 days. I'm concerned because I don't want to have problems when returning to the US as I still have some work to do for this US company. I need to know what is the proceedure in this case:
Do I have to turn my I-94 in when leaving the country?
Will imigration keep my I-94 and give me a new one once I come back or will I keep the same one?
Is there any risk of them not letting me re-enter the US since I'm coming from a third country? ( not my home country)
Is there any difference in the type of trip I make. (shorter/longer)
Also, the company I'm assisting here might need me to stay for longer so I might need to request for an extension of my I-94. Could my trip be a problem when requesting for the extension?
Thanks for your attention.
