Hi All,
I was working in th USA till march 2007 on H1B Visa , I had applied for 7th year extension and got approved. I was asked to apply for stamping in Toronto , CANADA. I came to Canada in March 2007 and applied for stamping at Toronto US Embassy. I got 221(g) and asked to wait. I waited for a month and then started working in Canada as I am Canada a PR holder. Recently I got an email that my H1B visa is Refused and petition I-129 returned back to USCIS.
As my H1B visa is rejected now and i don't even need that H1B as i got good job here in Canada.
I need to visit USA as my sister gave a birth to baby in USA and i wanna attend the ceremony.
Can i apply for B1 or B2 visa after H1B rejection ?
As i recently got email about H1B rejection will it affect my B1/B2 application ? Being a Canadian Permanent residency what are the chances of success in getting B1 or B2 in this situation?
Please advice and help me make the right move.
Thanks
