B1/B2 to H1B

Hello all,
need urgent advice. I am on B1/B2 now in the US, and I found a job and is ready to sponsor H1B under premium processing.
do I have to leave the country to get it stamped from home country or can I stay on approved H1 and get it stamped when I have travelled to home country?
I have seen earlier posts on this, but would like to know the latest thoughts on this.

Please it is urgent, can any help.

Change status from B1 to H1B, if H1B change status rejected then what is my B1 status?

I been to US for the period June 2012 to August 2012 on B1 (I-94 was for 6months). My employer had applied for change of status to H1B in June 2012 month.
I returned back to India in August 2012.
Today when I verify my visa status it saying RFE.
My question is, if my H1B petition rejected what about my existing B1 visa which is valid till 2020.
And what is the chance level to get my H1B change status get approved.

How was your H1B process went? any issues you found in your stamping process?
