Hello Guys

Can someone help. I have a 10 yrs multiple entry B1/B2 visa for US. My company was planning to send me to US, but due to work load, the company wont send me for sometime now (maybe another 2 to 3 years).

My question is that can I visit US as a tourist. If yes what are the documents that I will need to carry.

I have a uncle (dad's brother) in US, who is a citizen, can I ask him to help me (for tourist visit). What will be the documents he will need to send me for that.

Company is planning to send me on L1 or H1B in near future. So if they apply what will be my status of B1/B2, will it be canceled and then L1 or H1 issued.

Please help me on the above matters.

Thanks in advance.

B1/B2 visa are for business and pleasure, you do not need any more docs, but a return ticket would be a good idea. When you get your L1 or H1B your B1/B2 will not be cancelled.

b1/b2 will be cancelled

hello,
i think one can hold only one non immigrant visa hence b1/b2 will be cancelled when anyother visa will be issued. read other thread on this. do update this info. suitably

Hi,
When u get a H1/L1 visa stamp issued in your passport, the visa officer will put a "cancelled without prejudice" stamp on your B1/B2. Pls feel free to revert to me for any queries at raji@karmlaw.com

This is not true. Your B1 runs concurrently with other visas.

If, for eg your B visa is valid 10 years, and your H1 for 3, your B1 will still be va,lid hen the H1 expires. There is no cancellation -of the visa.
