B1/B2 interview waiver, when can I send my documents?

Hello! I am eligible for a US B1/B2 interview waiver and I reached the point in my application where I have to confirm that I want to send my documents rather than just scheduling an interview. My question is, is there a deadline of days in which I have to gather my documents and send them to the US embassy or can I send them anytime and the processing time of them will remain 10 business days? I need my passport for a few months so I was thinking of sending my documents and completing my application in July but I am afraid I will have a specific deadline... Thank you for your answers!

For Romania specifically they told me I have literally one year after I pay my visa fee to send everything they need for the interview waiver.

That’s good to know.

What are the documents required besides interview waiver letter and passport?

My embassy in Cairo requires just these 2 documents.

That's great you're eligible for the B1/B2 interview waiver! There typically isn't a strict deadline for submitting your documents after choosing the interview waiver option. However, a few things to consider:
  • Processing Time: While the advertised processing time might be 10 business days, it can vary depending on the workload at the embassy or consulate.
  • Travel Dates: Ideally, submit your documents well before your planned travel to allow for processing and any potential delays.
Here's what you can do:
  • Check the Embassy/Consulate Website: Specific information about interview waiver document submission deadlines and processing times might be available on the website of the U.S. embassy or consulate you're applying through.
  • Contact the Embassy/Consulate: If the website doesn't provide clear information, consider contacting the embassy or consulate directly through their email or phone number to inquire about document submission deadlines and current processing times.
Here's a potential approach considering your situation:
  • Gather Documents in Advance: Start preparing the required documents for the interview waiver application now. This way, you'll be ready to submit them in July.
  • Monitor Processing Times: Keep an eye on the embassy/consulate website or contact them closer to July to get an update on current processing times.
  • Submit Documents with Buffer Time: Based on the updated processing time, calculate a buffer period before your travel date and submit your documents in July, ensuring enough time for processing and receiving your passport back.
Remember: Even with the interview waiver, unexpected delays can occur. Submitting your documents as early as possible in July, while considering the current processing times, will give you the best chance of getting your passport back before your trip.

ChatGPT for Law?

Visa Waiver Confirmation Letter, passport, photo, DS-160 and that's it
I dropped my documents today by the mail.

They only took:
1) DS-160 confirmation page.
2) ONE photo.
3) and both my old and new passports.

They even returned the Interview Waiver Confirmation Letter to me after checking it.

There’s been a bunch of random posts recently, often answering very old posts, that seem to be AI generated. Unlike this one, most of them don’t seem to be promoting a business. Not sure what the point is unless it’s just testing.

There are a bunch of other usernames doing similar posts, just without the contact info but they all look like AI. They’re not ”bad”' but I wonder what the motivation is? See “megnani“ posts for example. All on different topics and all look like the same kind of AI posts.
