Dear Mom,
I submitted an I-539 for my mom and Dad as dependents, it is the filing for their extension of stay in USA but USCIS sent me a rejection letter stating that the filing fees were incorrect. I paid $470 for the application and $170 for biometrics (2 x $85), totaling $640. However, I’ve seen online that USCIS no longer accepts biometric fees for B1/B2 visa extensions.
Now, I am confused about whether I should send only one check for $470 for both of my mom and dad or if I need to address something else. Could you please let me know what you think, and advise on how I should proceed?
Looking forward to your response.
