Hi all,
Could somebody help me with this question? I would greatly appreciate it.
We applied for B1/B2 extension 2 months before the I-94 expiration date. Now its almost a month since we applied. If I dont get response before I-94 expiration date, then are we legally allowed to stay in US until we get approved/denied notice from USCIS?
If denied, then how long do they give us time to leave the country?

SOmebody kindly answer my questions. I would highly apprecitate.

Regards.

Hi,
I too am interested in knowing what happens if it is denied. My grandmother has been in the US visiting my aunt since May 13th 2006. 3 weeks before her I-94 was to run out, my aunt applied for her extension. My grandmother is 82 years old and I believe a medical checkup was the reason for the extension request. I am just interested to know, exactly how much time will USCIS think is "reasonable". If anyone has any personal experience, please do share.
