B1/B2 duration question

Hi all,

My mother-in-law is visiting us on a B1/B2 visa. The actual visa stamp in her passport says that the duration is from 26th Feb 2004 till 26th August 2004.

Since she came to the US on 26th March 2004, the I-94 stamp states that the expiry date for her visit is 26th September 2004.

Can someone please tell me which is the real expiry date for her B1/B2. We are planning on going to India in early september right after my daughter's 4 month immunization shots so we cant prepone the visit. Thanks much.

Your mother's visa is a permission to enter the States. She could only enter the States between 26 Feb, 2004 and 26 August, 2004. I-94 authorizes the period of stay in the U.S. Your mother can stay here until the date indicated on I-94, which is September 26, 2004
