Finger Printing Mess!!

Hello:
I have an approved I140 and have gotten my figer printing notice for next month.
The problem is when we did our concurrent filing the attorney added my last name to my wifes name as my wife did not have a last name (yes, that's true!!) and she told us that we could get it changed on her passport in the Indian Embassy.
Her H1 is still in her old name and we are now going to India to get it stamped.( WE are NOT using the EAD because I changed jobs before I got my I140 approved and so don't want to use it).

So..
1) Is it advisable to get her name changed now or just leave her old name as it is as it might mess up her stamping process.
2) If we leave her name as it is and not change it on the passport, what about the finger printing. Do we need to show our passports for the FP and biometrics or will any form of identification do ..like a driver's license or a valid I140.
So 1) and 2) are clashing.....
Need your expert opinions please.....

Thanks in advance

1. Do not go for name change at this stage. Just go for FP. Also get an affidavit done for name change. You can show the affidavit if need arise and then after FP, go for name change on passport.

Just FYI.
When you go for a FP. You don't have to show your passport. Just show the Driver's license and EAD. Anyway keep your PP with you, in case if they need it, I went for my FP they did not ask PP. I just howed them my DL. That's it!!

Anyway, Please follow Jharkhandi's advice. He's quite good... :)
