B-2 Visa for wife

Hello All

I am a Legal-Permanent-Resident. My wife is in India without a Greencard. I am processing her Green card application in Follow-to-join category. I am little discouraged regarding the processing time and am exploring the possibility of bringing my wife in Visitory category till the Greencard processing is going on. Can anyone tell me the risk involved in it (if any)?

in general, spouses of permanent residents and United States citizens find it difficult to obtain B-2 visitor's visas. It does not help the rest of us that so many who already received visitor's visas never left the US. For Spouses and children of permanent residents, the new V and K visas may be available when the visa petitions have been pending for more than 3 years... If the Embassy gives her a visitor visa and IF she is admitted, a good idea would be to continue with applications to extend her stay until the immigrant visa becomes available...
