Hi,
I came to US for interviews on B-1 in Nov 2000. Got admitted in march 2001 and subsequently changed to F-1 status. My F-1 status expires shortly. I am aware that during OPT I cannot leave the country and I will apply for H-1 asap.
I would like to know if i can go to canada or mexico to get it stamped or is that completely void. or is it thro some appointment system....
or else do i have to return to india.
Is the procedure different for people working in underserved areas in health field.
