I have the same problem for both my i-485 and my spouse\'s I-485. I also have an application for a H1b extension and checked it as well. For that application, it said "this case is taking blah blah...".
Maybe they have some technical problems who knows...

Looks like, in the INS working hours AVM says case can not be found, but if you check at night it plays the old message, but the system is slow
in the nights, but in the day time system is faster after you get the connection. Yesterday and today day time AVM says case not be found.. but last night it played the old message "...received .....", I have to check to night again, we do not know which message is correct day time one or night time one. whatever it may be AVM is fooling us.

Well, I checked my case last week during day time and it did not say "case cannot be found message". I don\'t think there is a day-time/night time message change.
i had the same problem as Bosco said. during the day time, "case not found". during the night time, "it will take 360 to 540 days..". what a fucked up system is this!
I checked the AVM few minutes ago and it says "Case cannot be found at this time". Until yesterday, it used to say the standard message "your I485 application was received on..."
