AVM message - Could not understand-Please help !!

I just now checked my case on AVM and it says " a written decession has been mailed on 7th march 2002 and if 14 days past.......etc
What does it mean,can any one had same experience????? Pl help.

Unfortunately, this looks like a denial of I-485.
I remember seeing several cases on this board where AVM message said
"written decision has been mailed" and it meant a denial.

It seems that these days most applications are approved except those that have been filed before PD became current. This may have happened to you. In that case (and if your application is employment-based) you can re-file I-485 right away since all EB priority dates are current now.

Basically I am not the main candidate,My wife was a Primary candidate and her case has been approved long back as she applied seperately.
