Average time from interwiew to Green Card and travel

I would like to know about how long after you have your first interview and you submit all forms for your sponsor how long does it usually take to get permission to travel? We are in a bit of a dilema. Can you travel with another approval? Is there anything we can do to speed things up? Can we get permission through work if its work related. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If you were approved during the interview, you can get I-551 stamp on your passport for travel/work related purposes.

If you were not approved during your interview, you could use your AP to travel. If you dont have an AP, get INFOPASS, visit your DO, explain situation and reason for emergency travel and get the AP same day.
