Hi,
What was your SL receipt date?

At what time did you check the Fedex site?

Kindly post as to when the visa was stamped after you receive your passport and also if you know your DC received date.

My SL Date is Aug 28. I do not know my DC date. I have spoke with FedEx to expedite the delivery. I will certainly update the forum.

I called DC just now the lady said my DC date is 28th Sep previously however they said it was 29th Sep. They are still processing 27th cases. When I asked how long it would take my case to be processed from this point, the lady said u r welcome to call back next week.

My travel date to India is 31st Dec and now I don't think I would receive my passport before that. I am cancelling my trip :(

All:
DOS lady just called me (YES!!!) and said my case was received on Sep 28 (A month ago they said my case was received on Sep 29.... ) and they are still working on Sep 27 cases. She said I should get it in a week or two...

For those of you who are wondering, why should she call me....

Actully I called up the DOS and the lady took my PP # and started searching my number for status in her system.. while doing so, get system got frozen... so she took down my phone number and she called me within five minutes to give the status.... though the answer was not that sweet, she is sweet enough to get back to me with the status..

So the wait continues for 2 more weeks I guess..

Got the Passports!!!

Guys,

This morning I have received the passports duly visa stamped. Everything looks okay on the passports.

I have sent my wife’s passport and mine (Old & new), 2 separate USPS money Orders (One for Visa fee and other for Reciprocal fee) and other required documentation for revalidation. My first visa stamping had expired on 14th December 2002. Here are the history dates.

SL DT: 28TH August 2003
DC DT: ????????????????
Approved DT: 10TH December 2003
Received DT: 12TH December 2003

This forum was so helpful in tracking the statuses.

Good Luck for the guys waiting for the passports.

Transit Visa

Guys,

I'm planning to travel to India on Jan 15th 2004 via London. Do I need to get a Transit Visa, even if I have a new stamping in my passport?

Please advice.

If anyone know about appropriate thread please send me the link too.

I enquired with British Consulate for the same, they said if you have a valid visa stamped in ur passport u do not need transit visa. Saying that, it is not a bad idea to check with them again.

So were you able to track your package through the USPS website? I also used the USPS express mail service. My visa got approved on Dec 8th. As of today i don't see any tracking info for my case.

AUG 15 VISA REVALIDATION APPL

Hi,

I sent my application for visa revalidation on AUG 14. It was recvd by SL on AUG 15. I sent a prepaid fedex.
I've not recvd my PP till date. Also I checked the fedex tracking, there is nothing.

Is there a no. I can call to fugure out whats going on with my process.

SL date 29th Sept

any idea when would i get my passport back ? my SL date is 29th Sept...never called so don't know DC Date or anything...my flight is on 7th jan...guys, do u think i can make it ? biggest problem is, i'm flying through UK in AI. UK now requires ppl to get a transit visa if current h1 stamping is expired. my previous visa is expired. so i need atleast 5-10 working days to get the transit visa.

Sorry saumil_j_shah. Looking at the current trend and the holidays are in its way, You may get you PP back only in early January. This just a prediction..
 
processed ? Approved?

I called DC office and the visa rep told me my visa was 'processed'
and I should get it next week.( I have return fedex envelope for the next business day).

is processed = approved ? any other remarks like 'approved' for others?
