August 2002 RFE

My ND is August 2002. I got an email alert that INS sent RFEs for me and my wife. Haven't got the RFE yet. Will update soon as soon as I receive it.

RD 12th feb, 2004. I-140 approved couple of days back.

My wife and I did our second FP on May 1st.

Just wondering about cocktail's RD. Is it 2002 or 2004? Please note that mine is 2002.

You bet it is not 2002, it is 2004. Post your RFE details as soon as you get. I will do the same, I am hoping mine will be EVL & Tax papaers.

Do you know if they have been provided initially when the 485 was filed ... I can understand EVL .. they may want a current one.. but why would they need a Birth Ceritifcate and / or marriage certificate if they had ben filed originally along with the application

I haven't spoken to the Lawyet yet. But what I understand is that the documents that I gave were not registered documents. That means not registered with any Indian Govt. Office. So my lawyer sent an email saying what they want is an affidavit. I will talk to the lawyer tomorrow and will post more details later.

RFE for Birth Certificate

I have RFE issued on 07/02/04 and my lawyer recieved it on 07/12/04. This is regarding birth certificate.

I did submit a birth certificate but my mothers name was missing in it.. INS is asking for affadivits supported by a non-availability certificate from a competent civil authority in INDIA..
