Yesterday was a joyous day in our lives what with our I-485 being approved.
The journey would not have been bearable but for this forum.
Here are my details:

Application Receipt #: EAC 022575XXXX

Labor Applied: Dec 2000
Labor Approved: March 2001
I-140 Applied: April 2001
I-140 Approved: May 17, 2002
I-485 Applied: August 7, 2002

1st FP: Oct 2002

RFE Notice: Feb 19, 2004
RFE Response Received: March 8, 2004

2nd FP: March 27, 2004

I-485 Approved: June 23, 2004

Details of RFE

The RFE was first issue for my spouse who filed as a dependant. The same RFE was issued to me a few days later. In both cases, they were asking for:

1. Legible photocopy of all passport pages
2. Original letter on company letterhead from your current employer stating your date of hire, duties, remuneration and prospect for continued employment
3. Earnings statements for the last two months.
4. Tax returns, including all schedules and Forms W-2 and/or Forms 1099 for the last year.

For a change, our attorney acted on this quite quickly and we replied within 14 days of receiving the RFE.
