How long after the RFE response does it take to get the approval ?

RFE sent on 12/9/02 according to AVM, but no notice on details by mail

Hi my friends

According to the Automated system they say that on Dec/09/02 RFE was sent out.

But I did not receive to my home address anything!!

Also when I asked attorney he said RFE was sent directly to Attorney not to the applicant. But they have not yet received any details by mail until Dec 23 '02.

Also attorney tells me not to call INS without him. But AVM says if we did not receive anything with in 2 weeks call them ..

Can any of you please let me clarify my doubts...

Need to call them

Your attorney needs to call them if he has still not received the RFE. The RFE usually comes to the attorneys within a matter of days.

I am not sure as to why your attorney does not want you to call them without him . All you are doing is checking the status of your case for which you do not really need the attroney.

So I would recommend talking to your attorney and make them talk to the INS. After all you / your company are paying the attorney for his services.

Attorney tells me b'cos of the holidays he will call only after Jan 2nd but RFE has posted Dec/9 and in rupnet.com I saw guys have their details who got RFEs on 12/9

Do you think this is acceptable ?

My case got transferred to local INS office on 11/06/02. Five to six months additional processing time at the local office. God only knows how much more I have to wait.
