AUGUST 2001 thread for I-485 Mailers to CSC (from 11/16/2001)

AVM not updated

Hi Guys

RD Aug 16, ND Sep 18
I recd my FP notice and done FP in SJ ahead of schedule on 6 Feb. Checked with FBI, they say already forwarded to INS.

But AVM message still is "Your I-485 for adjustment blah blah" same message as in september. No mention of the FP notice or that FP has been recieved.

I am kind of worried as I don\'t know if this is a problem. Any body knows someone else in same boat, please share.....

is it mandatory that everyone will receive RFE after FP.

Schedule date: March 18 2002 at SanJose
I did my FP yesterday (Feb 13 2002) at SJ.

No not really

A RFE is issued only when they (IIO) dont have sufficient information about you on file. People who work for small companies (3 -4 people) have had RFE\'s usually ...want to confirm if the CO. still exists .. u still have a job...changed companies...no/insufficient medical report... but other than that it is all a matter of luck. Good Luck!!

Did the FP yesterday, ahead of schedule.

Whats the next step??
I see that people call FBI to check if they fwded the FP?? What is that? What number do you call?

EAD recd. - DEC
AP Approved and recd. - DEC
FP done on NOV 27th
last checked showed status for my 485 - as " results of FP recd on Dec 29th and processing has resumed ....."
How long the wait ?

Dont you worry

This happened to us too. Mine was updated but wife\'s was not. There are few steps where this message will be updated. They are Fingerprints collected, Fingerprints under review and Fingerprint results received. My wife\'s message was correctly updated when the Fingerprint resutls were received.
So any of the changes can trigger the correct AVM message to come on. Just be patient and wait.

I also have a 01-284-xxxxx WAC# and my FP was done on 2/2/02 in Oakland. Please keep me posted if you want and I will do the same..

My I-485 data

Hello:

Here is some info, please include it into Aug 01 thread:

MD: 8.02.01
RD: 8.03.01
ND: 9.12.01

EAD approved: 11.16.01 (but have not received the card yet)
AP approved: 11.23.01
FP notice sent from INS: 12.28.01 (as per AVM)

My wife got her EAD in a week after approval. I am yet to receive it. My attorney checked with INS. Mine was approved on 11.16.01. AVM says it may take 120-140 days to get the new card but INS spokeperson says it will not take that long...I am waiting.

My FP notice (as well as my wife\'s) was sent today from INS (I am closer to Oakland). I should get it in the next few days. I\'ll keep you posted on that.
