August 18, NSC Update I-485 to Feb. 2004

I just found out the Nebraska Service Center Processing Date was moved to Feb. 01, 2004. Do you any guys started a enquriy? What's the difference if your case past the gate or not? Does NSC have to expedise your case or they still can find the Name Check crap to stop you?
 
My I-140 was approved the day before (08/17) and I called the NSC regarding my I-485 stating mine was a concurrent filing and I didn’t hear anything on my wife’s and my I-485.

NSC asked for permission from my wife to check on her case status and told me the cases are being sent to an officer.

How long does it take to hear an decision on the case once it gets to the officer? Any ideas?

could u pls share what number you've called? I called (800)375-5283 and CS Rep will only forward my details to some other office. I'm suppose to hear from other office within 30 days. They call it referal.

Is there any other number that can give me any better info?

Fastest way to get through to an CS Rep is through the approved cases option.

Press 1-2-4-2-1 enter your receipt number and press 1.

Sending inquery through Cusomter Support won't worth it,

Talk with NSC directly,

Check it out Texas center thread to learn how to reach direclty to your service center .


Usually texas filers follow this method, try to ur sevice center if it work for u

method to follow to talk with TSC direct.

use 800 to find status.
Press 1 for english
Press 2
Press 6
Press 1 for SRC #
Press 1 again to confirm
Press 3
Press 3 or 4 when it says u have file Multiple applicaiton, by selecting this option u will be connected with TSC.

(if u find any error after SRC input, use any other SRC like EAD etc)

Once connected, give TSC-opt to ur 485 src.

1-2-6-1-1-3 takes long time to connect to the Service center where the options I gave had always helped me more than the above. It took minimum of 25 minutes to get connected through the above options.

I may be unlucky with the above options though.

I called as you suggested and ended up at Cust Serv of NSC. They just confirmed with me my current address and said that processing date info is not always correct. However my case would be processed very soon.

I was also pursuing my inquiry with the office of my area Congressman Mr Kirk. They have come out with shocking reply that there are no visas available for EB2 and visa bulletin is incorrect. When I insisted that there was some confusion some where they called again and sent me this reply.

I spoke with NSC again and they have informed me that visas in your
category are not current. They have been exhausted and will be that way until October 1 when the new fiscal year begins and more visas are released. I am sorry, but the Visa Bulletin is incorrect. However; you should be receiving another fingerprint appointment notice soon. Your fingerprints expired August 20.

You're welcome Anil. The options I gave you may help expedite the requests as it worked out for me for my I-140 and I had checked the status on my 485 on Friday with the same options and keeping my fingers crossed to hear something on my 485 next week.
