Aug 2002 - RFE on Proof of status

Hi All,
I got the RFE last week to submit the Proof of status during 99/99 - 99/99. Y'day my lawyer submitted the required evidence to TSC. Is anybody had the similar situation, I have couple of questions.

- How to track the RFE response received by TSC.
- How long it will take to get approval after responded to RFE.
- How to find out a particular case is stuck due to Name check?

Why does the CIS question your legal status? What evidence did you provide?

- How to track the RFE response received by TSC.

Answer - TSC will send you an email ack. of the receipt of the RFE response. If you do not receive an email then you should call and verify.

- How long it will take to get approval after responded to RFE.

Answer - It varies from officer to officer. I have seen some officers approve cases witin a week while others have taken a few months. I have not seen to many cases go beyond 3 months though.

- How to find out a particular case is stuck due to Name check?

I believe you have to email the FBI and find out. I do not have the email address handy. You can search for it on the forum.

I have provided the details of first time entry to US, copies of Visa extention/renewals and copies of I-94 to TSC.
