congratulations to folks who are getting out of this mess

all the attorneys are focusing on getting the "front doors" opened , as murthy says, for those who are not able to file new I-485s in July 07.

I hope someone is also worried about the oldies like us who are stuck in this 485 pending mess for ages. Murthy calls people like us as "back door" folks

maybe her revenues come mostly from new applicants only

All the hue and cry is ONLY for letting new applicants file. Attorneys dont seem to care about applicants who filed years ago and paid their fees to those attorneys already and are rotting in the mess.

SHOULD SOMEONE ASK senators and these attorneys to also question USCIS as to why cases of 2001/2002/2003 are still pending. They are way out of idiotic 'normal' processing time window of an inefficient organization like BCIS too.

Sometimes I feel not as bad about Indian babudom / bureaucracy after seeing this circus. Atleast they are not as bad as these jokers and are certainly more transparent and tell you what is exactly happening

I agree with you.
My PD is Jun 2001. Man --- This wait is unbearable. I wish I could FF my life to the point when I get the Card Ordered email.

Sick of seeing the Pending status day in and day out.

I can't agree with you more. My case is quite "young" as compared to some, but it's still very frustrating to be stuck indefinetly in the name check black hole, especially when nobody seems to do anything about eliminating NC backlog. Even USCIS Ombudsman described NCs as a single dominating cause of delays in his report two years in a row, yet nobody moved a finger to do anyting about it. Where was AILA with all its indignation and massive lawsuits standing for all of us rotting in NC hell?

Cos they are in this for money. Old cases can't be milked. Since we do our own AP, EAD extensions old cases are not profitable.
