Attorney Certified Forms!!

I am currently in H1B status. I want to visit my family in India soon. I heard that for H1-B visa stamping, i have to submit
attorney certified forms to the consulate.

However, my company did not use an attorney to process my H1B. The personnel manager did it himself, as he thought the process was very easy.

What are my options? Do i have to approach an attorney now to get the forms certified, or can i just take the copies given to me by the personnel manager to the consulate?

Please help.

Thanks,
Jay.

Jaggu Dada,

I think you are asking about copy of Form I-129 and copy of LCA, if your manager filed H1 then he should sign the copy of forms and should state that he filed the I-129 and LCA for your H1. He can also attach a letter on company letterhead

Hello,

Thank you for the replies. Yes, i was mentioning about the copies of I-129. I have the original LCA with me.

I will request my personnel manager to certify the copies of I-129.

Thank you all.

W2'S for H1-B stamping!!

Hello People,

I have one more quick question regarding the documents i have to take for my H1-B visa stamping.

My company just informed me that i will be getting two W2's for the year 2003.
a. First one for the duration till the end of my OPT.
b. Second one after the H1-B started.
However, my total wages is equal to the amound stated in the LCA.

My company mentioned that they had to do it because of the Social security and Medicare taxes. They started with-holding them when my H1-B started.

Should two W2's, from the same company, be a cause of concern?

It will be great if i can get some opinion on this issue.

Thanks for your help.
Jay.

experience letters

HI,

Since you are getting your H-1 after F1 and OPT I want to ask you something? The list of document for visa includes "experience letters from your previous employers". I had part time (20hrs) job during my masters and this is the first full time job I have - should I get experiece letters from my part time employers too?

Thanks,
JK

Regarding "Experience letters from your previous employers", i am also not exactly sure.

This is my first real job too ( I also worked in school for 20 hours).

I was planning to take only the employment letter from the current employer, as i was told by my friends this document will be enough.

If you hear anything else about this please pass me the information...

I will try to ask around as well.

Thank you.
