I got my birth cerificates from local goverment authorities recently after registering at their office. I heard that NSC is asking affidavits to support your date of birth from relatives if Birth was registered recently.

Is it true with VSC also?

When I filed I had not sent my birth certs. The RFE was about the missing docs.

Eventually I got a letter from the registrar that my birth record did not exist in their office. Then my mother wrote an affidavit stating my birthdate, birthplace, etc. I think this affidavit is expected. Unfortunately I don\'t know if, in your case, you need affidavits.
