Ciba,

There are a handful of us on this discussion board who have ND 12/00.

But we are seeing a lot of 01/01 ND approvals. Do you think our cases have fallen through the cracks ?

Would you advice talking to an IIO ??

dimpu,

Look at the JIT report. 4/13/01 JIT says last case taken off the shelf for I-485 was 12/24/00. It also says if yours was earlier than this and 30 days have passed you have reason to call IIO.

IMO, if I were you I would wait until 5/15/01 and speak to the IIO.

Then you can say, Sir, I looked at the JIT report (4/13) and it says the last case assigned to an officer was of 12/20/00. My case date has been much earlier than this and 30 days have also been passed. So would you please look at my case. I would greatly appreciate it.

That is how exactly I spoke to an IIO regarding my EAD and boom I got it next week.

Thanks Anna...

From when do we count 30 days ??

Since my ND is 12/21/00, hasn\'t it already been 30 days ??

Nope, you need to wait 30 days from the JIT report that says cases later than you have been assigned to an officer.

As of 4/13/01, the last case taken was 12/20/00. So yours was not taken.

Suppose on the next report which is due 4/27/01, the last case taken were, say, 12/27/00, you can reasonably assume your\'s must have been taken too.

Then you wait 30 days from 4/27/01, which is 5/27/01 to speak to an IIO. You may get some positive response.

Hi Dimpu,

I would not worry about case cracking through. The JIT resports
only give you a general guideline, and the case numbers posted can
only be used as a reference. I don\'t think their system is
sophisticated enough to distinguish exactly between say ND 12/00
and ND 01/01.

I know you are anxious, but keep it cool. I am sure you will be fine
in the end (hopefull, very shortly!).
