Has anyone spoken/email to NVC about stopping there case from being send to foriegn consulate and got positive reply ??????????????
 
File the I-485 if you want AOS rather than CP

INS will pull the file back from NVC.

Yeah only at the tim eof adjudication and with delays

I beleive one can inform NVC to stop sending the file abroad; however it has to be done very quickly from the date of receipt of the approved I-140 (for CP).
 
How to have CP switched to AOS while I-140 still pending

I\'ve heard that the NVC sends a COPY of the file to an appropriate consulate while the original file is sent back to INS.
 
Spoken to NVC

Yes, I did spoke to a lady in NVC. She asked me to send her a fax stating my intention to adjust status here in the US. After that, the AVM was changed saying "We have received notice of the intention to adjust status in the US........".
