Hello my friends:

Let us start once again. Many of us have been getting their interviews and citizenship. My finger print has expired today. So, I am waiting for new finger printing and an interview to be scheduled. If any of you have gone through finger printing again, can you throw some light on the following:
1. How long after the FP expiration has your appointment been scheduled for the next FP?
2. After doing FP again have you received your interview appointment and if so what is the interval between FP and interview date?

Thank you.

hussain!

Did your brother have interview with Atlanta INS??
I had my interview on 5/14/2002.. and they said they have no idea when I will have oath around.
as you mentioned, having oath on Nov. doesn\'t make sense to me..

Better Late Than Never

Looks like all we stragglers are atlast getting the interview call in Atlanta. I saw one post several weeks ago stating - he had interview in the morning and oath in the afternoon at Atlanta.

After reading the above posts, may be that was not true.

Any way I am scheduled for June 12th.

Good Luck guys and Gals.

EZA - Don\'t Ask Us

He He

EZA.. you are asking the wrong bunch of people in this board. We are the unfortunate ones who have been waiting for nearly 2 years for the interview call.

I applied in July 2000, and my interview [atlast] is June 12th 2002.

Zeebooma, Olya, Hussein etc.. are all in my category, waiting for nearly 2 years.

But many other lucky people have had their interview in Atlanta in 4- 9 months.

Hope you fall on the 9 month category and not in our group.

Good Luck.

My wife had her interview on the 24th of April and had her oath the same day. She even got the Naturalization certificate the same day.

hi James

Did your wife get the oath on the same day as interview at Atlanta ???

If so, did her interview letter say that she was going to have both the same day or was it decided on the day of the interview?.

I have heard or rather read from a previous post that those who have an early appointment may have their oath on the same day.

Is it true?. Any info would be appreciated.

I don\'t believe that the interview letter mentioned anything about her Oath. She appeared for an interview in Atlanta, and I believe it was at 10 AM. They asked her to wait and then she was informed that the oath will take place in the afternoon. It is NOT true that those with early appointment have their oath on the same day. Two of my friends had their interviews at 8 AM last Monday and was told that they will be informed later about their Oath.

Thanks James

Looks Like there is no rhyme or reason for these things I guess.

As a last shot, did your wife wait for a long time[?? over 2 years] for the interview by any chance .. like most of us in this board...

Appreciate your in put.

Update

Hi everyone, it\'s Kim from the Atlanta Timeline discussions of past. Here is my fiance\'s info:
PD-12.14.00
FP-01.26.01
FP#2 scheduled for 06.19.02

Yes, he now has a second fingerprint cause his fingerprints expired on Apr. 26th. We just received the fingerprint notice and it was dated for 05.10.02. Judging from the past discussions, we are under the impression that once he re-fingerprints that shortly after (3wks or so) he should be scheduled for his interview. Also from past discussions, we are under the impression and what he saw at his late March visit to the INS office in Atlanta, was that the routine was interview, oath, certificate and passport photos all in the same day. It appears that the INS has now speed up the process just to slow it back down with delaying the oath ceremony. If anyone who is interview in the coming weeks can probe the INS about taking the oath and report back to us here, I would be greatly appreciative. We are hoping that once my fiance re-fingerprints on Jun 19th, that a interview is scheduled shortly thereafter putting our interview date somewhere in late Sept. My birthday is Aug 14th, and boy would that been a great present to have his interview on that date. Guess the INS didn\'t see the memo about my birthday wishes!!!

Best of Luck to everyone here, especially Hussain and Zeemboomba. Glad to hear that you\'re file is getting moved around. Also, I\'m wondering if the delayed oath ceremony may have something to do with the outcome of the interview. Maybe the interview was passed but they still had some things to tie up? I also wonder if Nationality is playing a part in who gets called and when? My fiance is Moroccan and believes that there is some nationality game going on here in Atlanta and the INS as a whole? Like someone from say Lebanon or Syria have a much harder time of it than say some one from India or Morocco. Just wondering out loud. Well, later for now and please keep us updated.

Kim

Lobbying

Hi Kim,

One of the things I did to get my file moving was to apply pressure. I am quite positive that my interview got scheduled because of that. I asked my congressman and both GA senators to follow up, as well as my attorney took it up with AILA\'s Atlanta liasion and I personall went to Atlanta INS to file an inquiry. If you need any further information on this you can reach me at zeemboomba@hotmail.com.

I have come across people whose interviews and oaths happened the same day. They went in on April 29 and May 6. Let us hope that this change of having them on different days is only temporary.

Oath of ceremony

Please post your experiences of your interview and the date of yout anticipated oath of ceremony .
Thanks

Hi gt

In your interview result paper - "Naturalization Interview Results"- that was given to you, did your INS officer check A) or B)ie....

A)= congratualtions, your application has been recommended for approval or

B) A decision can not yet be made about your application.

Look up your paper and let us know that may help in answering your question.

ATTN: Hussain!!!! have your brother got his oath letter yet??

Can you please whenever your brother gets his oath letter from INS?
I passed interview on May 14th, too. It is very important for me to know when I expect to get oath.. I changed my address and INS makes lots of mistakes about changing address..

or can you give me your brother\'s e-mail, so we can share information eachother...( I think Your bro. and I are on same boat..)

My e-mail is gt7773@hotmail.com and my name is Jay

Thank you sooooo much~!
