Atlanta timeline of family based Green Card ( I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131)

I did not hear anything from INS after I got my EAD, any guys get a news about Atlanta timeline?

A Long Painful Wait

I applied for AOS/ EAD (spouse sponsored) from atlanta local office in febuary 2002. Got my EAD in april. Since then there has been no notice from the INS. I called their helpline and all I got from them was "you have to be patient".
I think it is going to be a loooong and frustrating wait.

willy, do you know which web site we can check the processing status of timeline?

willy, do you know which web site we can check the processing status of timeline?

willy, my laywer told me that I-485 through marriage and I-485 through employement are differente stories. So I assume they do not share the same timeline. Do you know any info about real case of I-485 through marriage? unfortunately, I do not know anyone right now.

I know

Yes, I know that marriage based GC are processed much ealier. When I applied back in february my lawyer told me that the timeline for Atlanta local office was 15-17 months.
I know someone who is going through the same process in NY and his case is significantly delayed. Unfortunately, I donot know anyone who has gotten his GC from atlanta office.
If you hear anything useful, do share.

I will share,

I call INS national service center today. The representative told me I-485 takes 24 month in Atlanta.

depressing

Yes, I got exactly the same answer from them when I called.
This is depressing. But is there any chance that we might get our I-485 approved before 24 months.

I wish I would have a agressive solution. But I could do right row is keeping track the updated news, talking to my lawyer regularly, discussing the issue in this forum and waiting ............ but if any one figure out a way to improve our situation, I will sponsor it.

I get my EAD

I get my EAD card two month ago, since the processing time of family-based green card is more than 1 year and EAD card will expire after 1 year, anyone have renewed EAD card before and how to do it?

I have the same question. My EAD will expire in april next year and I have heard that you have to apply 3-4 months in advance to get your EAD renewed.

from INS web site, it is recommended that applying for EAD renew 6 month before EAD expires. I think it is safe to follow their advice.

What is the procedure for EAD renewal. Can we maintain our employment while our EAD renewal is pending (and our existing EAD has expired).

I just meet a lady who sponsored his husband green card application. She told me that It takes 1.5 years to get his husband get interviewed at Atlanta.
I will post the timeline as soon as I find more case info.
Happy New

I just talk to Atlanta INS officer and she told me that it takes 18-20 month to get AOS interview.

Guy please post any information you know on ATLANTA green card application timeline. Keep the thread (topic) alive by posting something, it will help other people and help yourself.

Regards
