Finally good news are on the roll at ATL DOL thread... I send an email to my attorney and haven't heard anything back. I will let you all know ASAP.

I have a similar issue and my RFE was replied by my attorney last week. I am still awaiting for any reply from ATL. I hope they are fast with RFE's.

Still waiting... no news from automated phone system or website.
My lawyer is planning to call DOL sometime this week. Will update forum after I hear from him.

Other Good News:
Another case from my company - IT related and about 200 case numbers behind mine but with the same ATL DOL receipt date of 01/13/2003 - was certified on Feb 6 2004. Since it is not my case, I will not be able to provide more information on the same.

So I hope that my case has also come up for consideration and that I should hear something in the next few days.

I am working in Pittsburgh, but employer is in Atlanta. And "Yes' my Labor ceritification is forwarded to ATL DOL.

per lawyer, should be a formality taking about 10 days.

do you know what information have they requested from your employer?

In my case. they asked my signature and my employer contact's signature again and experience in some skill's which are not applicable to me.


12/27/02 - still waiting. RFE recd by ATL on 02/18/04
 
no idea.
lawyer said they want information. i was too worked up to ask what or why ..

i dont care what information they want, but feel there should be some sort of initial perusal (afterall it went up there from the state level perusal) - to alert them of such things and not have the applicant wait for 3 years or so before they come up with a terse - more information..

Sad news....

My company and law firm suck...so I finally called myself.
An NOF was sent on Jan 30th for my application. I don't know at this point what it contains etc. I guess I will find out and keep you updated.

Don't worry about RFE! It becomes normal practice for ATL DOL. It's really irritating to know your attorney did not let you know that they issued RFE on your case on almost a month back. This is absolutely ridiculous. Keep ride them they deserve it.

I called my lawyer and they asked me to call after 2 weeks. I will update as soon as I get some info.

In some cases attorney also receives a fax when a case is adjudicated. Then the formal document is mailed out and a courtesy copy is mailed out to the employer. So i guess both get it at the same time.
