Atlanta District Office Improving

The Atlanta office is now processing I-485 with receipt notice dates of March 1, 2004 (as of 9-15-2005). In April of this year, they were processing I-485 with receipt dates of 4-18-2003 (per report posted on 4-21-2005)

Heres to hope that the fast completion rates will continue. Listed below is the reported completion dates since April 2005. I need help in developing a table in the nice format that the AOS Interview timeline has, physically putting in the spacing doesnt work.

Report Posting Date Processing Cases with Receipt Notice Date Of
4/21/2005 4/18/2003
5/18/2005 6/30/2003
6/14/2005 8/13/2003
7/19/2005 10/1/2003
8/18/2005 11/19/2003
9/15/2005 3/1/2004
10/19/2005 6/1/2004

Frankly, I think a list like this for each District Office is more helpful in gauging the expected wait time rather than a master list that was developed for AOS Interview timelines. Each district office has its own processing rate. I will keep updating the Atlanta list on this forum if there is interest from forum members.

Atlanta DO

Thank you so much for compiling this information.... Ihave been keeping a close eye on it as well. Let me know if you want to split the workload of tracking Atlanta.

Based on the overall average, the Atlanta DO seems to be completing 2 months worth of cases for every calendar month. So for me, who is waiting for May 2005, it looks like it will at least another 7 months or so...

Below is my timeline, as an FYI
____________________________________________________
4/20/2005: Day 01 -- Mailed I-485, I-765 & I-131 to Chicago
4/27/2005: Day 07 -- Receipt Date
5/23/2005: Day 34 -- Notice Date
6/21/2005: Day 63 -- AP approved on-line
7/05/2005: Day 77 -- Received AP (expiration: June 2006)
7/27/2005: Day 99 -- FP & Biometric Completed
8/09/2005: Day 143 -- EAD Approved on-line
8/15/2005: Day 149 -- EAD Received (expiration: June 2006)

Oh, by the way, here is my math to calculate the processing averages for ATL

days processed
4/21/2005 - 4/18/2003
5/18/2005 - 6/30/2003 73
6/14/2005 - 8/13/2003 44
7/19/2005 - 10/1/2003 49
8/18/2005 - 11/19/2003 49
9/15/2005 - 3/1/2004 103
avg: 64

DO in Atlanta processes around calendar days (64) each month, on average.

e171345: No problem. I will keep updating the spreadsheet once a month, its not much work. Plus I have compulsive-obssessive disorder when it comes to tracking these rates; the spreadsheet I have is very detailed, I posted a short and sweet version. For example, I have calculated that my Notice Date will become current in February 2006, if the office continues at the latest completion rate posted; if they start completing cases at a completion rate of 1 month, then my Notice Date will become current in December 2006. See what I mean about obssessive-compulsive? A lot of these computations are admittedly a waste of time.

Anyway, check out the AOS Interview Timeline list. It is very useful information, since it is now sorted by the District OFfice.

LucyMO: Let us know how the interview went.

the posting above says, "10/04 I-130 transferred to CSC"....what is that mean? What is CSC? And how did you know that it was transfered? Please advise. Thank you!

California Service Center. Your I-130 will be approved in about a month from the transfer date.

A lawyer from another forum had a briefing with USCIS, turns out they moved some employees from LA to ATL to get rid of the backlog, and they are planning to move those employees back to LA soon.

Oh no!!! Hope they put more back ups!!

At least the Atlanta office has been spared the disruption of the New Orleans, and now the Houston offices.

oh, the USCIS sent me a notice that it was transferred, and a month later it was approved. :)

Yeap! Thanks for keep a track on ATL.

Timeline:
June 20: NOA's
Aug 09: FP & Bio
Aug 23: received EAD.

Almost time for the monthly update. Anytime care to guess how far along the Atl office would have moved?

My guess: 5/1/2004 (2 month jump)

Hope so!!!! You are optimistic!

I am going to say one month, or a little over a month.

You know what though, I am afraid that they may slow down around the upcoming holiday season. You know how the government is -- they like those holidays!

The date moved 3 months. Plus interview notices have gone out for January 2005 notice dates; see Humbertos post on the AOS timeline sticky.
