At what point is 485 transferred to local service center

I have a DWI and know that I will have to go for interview...I was wondering at what point is the 485 transferred to the local service center...after FP???after name check???

Any inputs would be appreciated.

I guess it is transferred after name check is completed.

Because, decision is taken on the day of the interview. If name check hasn't been done, then adjudicator will not be able to take a decision right after the interview.

I may be wrong, lets wait for other's answers too.

I read quite a few cases which were still pending on name check after interview. my lawyer also told me that CIS would either ask for RFE or transfer the case only if they felt the case is old enough and it is worth to check applicant's status, regardless the name check is over or not.
