At last 485s approved

Our 485s were eventually approved on Dec 13, 2006. Cards were ordered on Dec 14,2006. Below is the signature:

140 (EB1-EA): April 29, 2004 (RD); March 31,2005 (AD).
485s: May 7,2004(RD); Dec 13 (AP); Dec 14(CO).
FP1:March 18,2005. FP2:July 31, 2006.

My I485 is approved on 12/13/2006 as well. But the status is still showing as "On December 13, 2006, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service."

We are plannning to go abroad on end of this month and trying to setup the Infopass. My town falls under Dallas INS juridiction. The infopass website is saying "At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later. "

Here are the questions -
1. Can I go directly to Dallas without appointment?
2. Houston has some appointments open, can I go to Houston even if my zip code falls under Dallas jusrisdiction?
3. I haven't received any letter yet, any body got the same status email.

Here are my time lines -
Indian National (EB2 Category)
Labor priority date: 09/11/2000
Labor approved: 03/05/2001
I140 and I485 applied: 01/04/2005
I140 approved: 01/28/2005
I1485 approved email: 12/13/2006
Still waiting to receive the approval letter
 
I suggest that you should wait for the approval letter at least. Then have your friend or relatives mailed the cards to you while you are outside this country.
 
What did you do?

Congratulations.

My case is very similar to yours, but I am still waiting for the 'joyous' moments. My FP has expired a couple of months ago. My question is what did you do to get 2nd FP? Did you contact senators/congressman?
Please advise.

I am stuck in security check as well and I believe my fingerprints expired last month. I was told by USCIS during infopass earlier in Nov. that they will send the FP2 notice automatically. Don't know whether that is true or not.

Also, I think in many cases, I-485 is approved, and then they send you notice for biometrics (if your FP has expired) before the GC is issued.
