To the best of my knowledge if you try to stay in another country before coming to the USA ,it may cause you troubles later in your aylum apllication. But if you are just passing as you say then its fine but don't say you want to live there for a while .If the plane passes through there ,then fine its not big deal.To enter the USA you will need to have a visa ,i am not even sure if the airport in another country will let you enter the plane if you don't have a USA visa but am not so sure .But if in case you pass and arrive at the US airport ,they will lock you down but not deport you if only you explain that you are fleeing the country to come to the US and apply for asylum. After that they will put you in their facility and you will later pass for an interview. If they see that you qualify for asylum then you will be granted if not you will be deported.Good luck man

if i got a B2 visa and enter the us and hire a lawyer can i apply from Colorado and it is safe to apply for asylum in B2 visa?

yop that's the best way to do ,its good if you come with a visa here like the one you said and hire a lawyer.Even at the embassy you can apply for a refugee visa if in case you see it fine but i don't know how the refugee process works ,i only know how asylum works.Good luck

If you are Syrian you do need a visa to travel to the US, no matter where you are coming from unless you are a permanent resident of the US.Syria has alot of problems now, your best shot is crossing the border to turkey and at the capm, you talk to the UNHCR officials who will do an interview and verify you as a refugee and possibly after some time, normally years, forward your details to a resettling agency like the IRC, which may decide to resettle you in the US, Canada, Australia or the EU.
