I am an Asylum Granted( 1998) and subsequently filed for Adjustment
of Status ( I-485) in 2001, after almost 4 years, they sent a notice
to do an I-693 and G-325 to my old address, unfortunately, I learned
everything after the due date was passed, Nov. 20/2005... I am in the
middle of processing everything for submission. I tried to talk to
USCIS Customer Service Representative to extend the date......end-up
in futility. My question, are they going to deny me based case for
merely it wasn’t submitted on time... after all it’s their fault to
send it to my old address, actually I did address change right before
I moved to my new place.

What will happen to my case.? Please, any idea what to do?? Thank You

hi,
I would just write a letter explaining the situation. inlude everything they asked for AND the notice which reached you late and you should have no problem. they don't have monsters working there but people. although, the system itself was monstrous to asylees:)
good luck

Good advice by Ian. Send your stuff with a letter. Do you have the original RFI letter that was sent to the wrong address? Put that on top of your letter.

My father is having kinda similar experience. The problem is that I sent letter to TSC at the beginning of November 05, inquiring about the case. However, till now we haven't heard from TSC at all.

wantmygc do you know how long it usually take for them to process those general mail? (I sent to TSC general coresponding mailbox with highlighted colorful edge envelope)

Thank you so much everyone

Thank you so much everyone

First of all thank you for the folks who have created this online discussion forum. It’s such a wonderful tool to exchanged ideas and learn from each other experience with INS. Yes, I am carefully crafting a letter that will accompany my I-693, G-325. Actually, I got terrified when one of the Customer Service Representative told me that, they will make a decision based on existing documents…. we all know what that means. She also talked about re-filing, getting a Lawyer etc. I hope they will reconsider my case. Thank you so much.
