asylum decision_after interview_how many days

hi all,
very recently i had my inteview in a circuit ride location.to me it was "hard".becoz it took "2hours".the officer seemed to be an experienced beourocrat and over 50 years old.he asked me each and every detail.he asked the same questions again and again for a particular incidence of mine.
at the end of the interview, he told that he will send the decision through mail but he didnot mention any timeframe.now i am asking to u how many days it may take as it is not the asylum office rather than circuit ride location.your comments and reply is highly appreciable.
 
You have to be mentally and pschyologically ready to wait for months to get the initial decision. It might be 2 weeks or many months.

Assylum is perfectly right. No one can guess I long it will take you to receive a decision. days? weeks??? months?????

At the end of my interview, the AO said two weeks. So far three months have elapsed.

Just wait.

thanks to both of u.i think at this current time we 3 of this forum is going through this waiting situation.i am asking to of u that do u have found any particular reason for cases for being delayed?please reply if u want to share.
 
Asylum BD,
If I knew what is causing the delay of the decision of my case I will be certainly felling much better.
I talked to all kind of lawyer and experts, none could give me a reason with certainty.

I don't know the exact reason why my case is still pending.

As far as I know, uscis has 180 days to make a decision. If no initial decsion is made after 180 days, then your lawyer will have to do something.

I heard that if you try to follow up with them a lot or send them letters then the AO or the supervisor might get pissed off and decide to delay the decision on purpose because you bothered him/her. AO has the power to delay it as long as he/she wants and can put your folder on the desk for as long as he/she wants especially if your case is strong and he/she can't refer it .

The question is "can he/she do that by law?"
 
there is no exact, circut interview decision takes longer just the interview date takes longer. if you are in valid status currently like say on visa, your decision if it is approval will be mailed at the time of expiration of your temporary visa status. write status inquiry letter to asylum office once a month but make sure you don't write every week.

Yes, I'm one of those waiting. You made a point that makes me a little worried. I was able to contact and talk directly on phone three times with the officers concerned with adjudicating over my case (since the interview date three months ago). They have promised I'll hear from them soon.
The two (interviewing officer and supervisor) sounded good to me all the time, but, like you said, I fear they could get pissed off because I contacted them about 4 times in just 3 months after interview. Good advice there to keep some time lag when making status inquiries.

I was promissed too that they would send me the decision as soon as they make it but I made a mistake and called again 3 weeks after they promissed me.

In my case, I have a feeling that the AO or the supervisor is pissed off or one of them are away from the office for vacation/training/etc.

Johnny1,
I was out of status when I applied and I was expecting to pick up the decision 2 weeks after the interview because of my expired status.

You are right Jonny1, circut takes longer for those who live far away.
BTW, the asylum office is only 6 miles away from where I live and I was out of status when I applied.
