hi everyone,
I had applied for Asylum in March2020, I received the notice of receipt on 22nd of April. I am still waiting for biometrics and interview date. I will be completing my 150 wait period on 19th of September 2020. Will I be still eligible to apply for EAD?
please shed your light on my situation.

if the court does not overrule the new EAD rule, you won't be eligible in Sep

that right the new Trump administration actually made it insted of 150 days to 365 days !

The rule prevents aliens who, absent good cause, illegally entered the United States from obtaining employment authorization based on a pending asylum application. Additionally, the rule defines new bars and denials for employment authorization, such as for certain criminal behavior; extends the wait time before an asylum applicant can apply for employment authorization from 150 days to 365 calendar days; limits the employment authorization validity period to a maximum of two years; and automatically terminates employment authorization when an applicant’s asylum denial is administratively final.

can someone explain this line to me !
limits the employment authorization validity period to a maximum of two years !

what dose this mean ! my asylum case is pending and i have EAD employment card will end in 8/2021 !
is that mean that i can not renew it ? while i am waiting on my case ?
did they canceled the renewing if my case is still pending !?

New EAD regulation (June 2020)

Page 55 of this document

"DHS acknowledges that this rule will impact some aliens who filed asylum applications prior to the effective date of this rule, and that these applicants may have relied to some degree on the prior regulations governing (c)(8) employment authorization.

However, DHS disagrees that this reliance renders this rulemaking impermissibly retroactive. Many of these applicants will remain eligible for employment authorization under the new rule, though some may be subject to a longer waiting period depending on when they filed their asylum application."

So, looking at this what we got? EADs for people who applied before Aug 21, will after 150 days or 365 days?

My feeling after reading most of the document is that they have kept the right of issuing EAD to themselves and will decide case to case basis

They are probably "enforcing" restrictions of 365 days wait to :-

1. Applicants with criminal history
2. Those who filed asylum application after 1 year

But lets see, on my case status on USCIS website it still shows that i have to wait for 150 days to be eligible to apply for EAD

How many days left for you to apply?
Government is broke. No point to stop people from working and pay for taxes right

102 more days to be eligible to apply (i am talking about 150 days) 48 days passed and 102 remaining

As of Government is Broke, This is election year. Everyone will do everything to make them look good in people's eyes. Trump has a pitch of Americans 1st. For him immigrants are taking away jobs which americans can or could do.

Doesn't matter right wrong but he is the King for now.

Thats positive thing to assume. But unfortunately current rules are 365 days until you apply EAD unless any judge blocks them
