Assigned Cases Tracking

The goal is to put together and track cases that been assigned to the Immigration Officers. The only way to find this info is to call INS. Please use the judgement as to when your 400 days have completed and not just call for the sake of calling IMHO. This statement was added keeping in mind the concerns expressed by some members on this board.

IIO: Looks OK to me as the case was assigned to an officer.

spoke to IIO today 6/7. she told me that my case has been assigned to an office yesterday.

Chichi, this is what I got when I asked the same question:

485BUG - It was me whose case was assigned to an officer on 6/1/01. Still Waiting......
As per one of the members of this board, it takes "less than two weeks" while according to another member it takes approximately 15 to 20 days, to get the case adjudicated after it is been assigned to an officer.

I don\'t know how authentic and reliable this info is???

Michael C, Absolutely not necessary! I don\'t mean to discourage anyone, because it\'s your own judgement anyway. But, here is the thing, if you aren\'t sure that the case was filed with all documents or not and/or if you got some pending requests from INS, then it\'s worth penny/dollar to spend and scream about. Otherwise, I personally think that it should be alright...perhaps, you just wait until your turn comes. Hope this helps!

I got RFE on 05/02/2001 and responded to INS 0n 05/22/2001 and INS Nebraska Service Center acknowledged receiving it on 06/07/2001 (the AVM is still not updated regarding this \'til this Monday night 10 PM) and I got sick of it and never bothered to check the status again for the last 4 days.
