Asked to file I-89...

Hey everyone,

I got PP stamping done about 3 mths back in Apr '05 and was awaiting the welcome letter and physical green card, which I have not received so far. I talked to IO about when I can expect my card and got a letter from BCIS stating that I need to file I-89 before I can expect my card.

Anyone knows what's going on here? What is I-89 and where can I find the form? I didn't see this form on their web site (bcis.gov). Why am I being asked for I-89 when I did have my index FP taken and form filled during the interview process?

I-89 is not an application you can file it is the form you fill out at you local ins to get your greencard you need to make infopass apt and take your letter with photos passport, and identification. Call customer service # and ask what you need to carry.

It is strange however that they did not tell you this at passport stamping.
