ask a very stupid Q?

I'm new here, and this Q may be stupid for you guys. I'm from a Retro country and I just got my I-140 approved. My Q is " can I file I-485 now? and they are going to process my case when my priority date is current. Or I have to wait till my priority date is current, then to file??"

You cannot file an I-485 without a current priority date.
