Arrival stamp on passport after plastic card

Can somebody tell me if the immigaration officers stamps date of arrival on the passport even tho the plastic card is swiped

we did not get a stamp at poe & my daughter who has a us passport also did not get it stamped. should we be concerned .

Visitor Visa Stamping

Is it true that US Immigration is now stamping the Visitor Visa for just 1 month instead of the usual 6 months? Please advice as these rumors have been floating around with no one to confirm them and I have spent almost $2000 on arrangements(flight ticket, insurance etc.) to bring my mom here.
 
At POE let immigration official know how long you intend to stay

At POE keep your return ticket/itenerary handy and it wont harm to inform that you intend to be in US for 3mth,4mth, or whatever case maybe.
