Hi all,
I am applying for my citizenship next month and had a concern about the arrest history part in the application. I was arrested 8 years ago in front of the port authority because of an altrication I had with another driver. It was so stupid of me to get out of the car but we did not hit each other. An equally stupid officer watched that and arrested both for "impeding traffic." He also impounded our cars and after being kept for an hour inside the police station at the port authority he released us with a disorderly conduct citation. he did not book us and he did not run our finger prints. Hr just kept us for an hour. this officer did not show up like a coward for our court appearance and my case was dismissed. I thought of filing a complaint against him for being too stupid but i did not follow up on it. Here are 2 questions
1. Should I mention this incident? Will they find out about that? I have no public records.
2. if I did, will it negativey influence me? It did not influence me when i applied for my green card.

Your Incident Is Not Relevant To Those Big Grounds Of Immigration Issues, That Could Jeopardize The Benefit You Are Seeking.
When Asked (inside The Form N400)if You Have Been Arrested - Just Say Yes. - And Explain Briefly. You Will Be Fine.
Because Your Biometric Will Show Your Arrest Record Anyway. And If You Lie The I.o Has Legal Right To Deny You The Benefit For The Fact Of Lieing.

You Should Worry Only If That's One Of Those Grounds Of Inadmissibily Such As Aggravated Felony.

Tell The Truth And You Will Be Fine.

I Hope That'll Help.
