Arrest but no conviction

Hi everybody,

I am a British Citizen and I have applied through work for an L1 visa, I have recieved the paperwork and one of the questions is: Have you ever been arrested ?? I have been arrested twice but only for minor offences and these were more than 10yrs ago, when i was a teenager and no convictions were bought on me. Should I disclose this information as I hve read that after 10 years they are expunged from my record.

Does anyone know if this is correct or not ?? I do not wish to ruin my chances of obtaining the visa.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Short and only answer is YES! No ifs, ands or buts about it. You must declare that you were arrested and give details even if was two days after your birth. Failing to disclose this information constitute material misrepresentation aka fraud. Very likely it'll little to zero impact on your application, however, its quite another story if you don't disclose it.
